Scissors removed from Chinese kid's head
Doctors in China's Shanghai city have removed a pair of scissors from a three-year-old boy's head.
According to the parents, the boy was standing on a chair while playing with the scissors and suddenly fell from the chair. The scissors pierced into the right side of his face, the Shanghai Daily reported.
At the nearby hospital, a CT scan revealed a scissor blade had entered the boy's brain and he was referred to the Shanghai hospital, they said.
Officials at the Shanghai Children's Hospital said the child was rushed all the way to Shanghai from Jiaxing city in neighbouring Zhejiang province Sunday night.
"So far, he is in stable condition and no pathological consequence of his head injury has been detected," said Yang Xiaodong, a hospital official.
