Hollywood director Steven Spielberg was fined for violating boating rules while vacationing on the Italian island Sardinia.

Spielberg paid 151 euros to the Coast Guard after angry vacationers complained that his motor boat put swimmers in danger by coming too close to the beach, said Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera.

The filmmaker was on holiday with friends, including goddaughter actress Gwyneth Paltrow.
