Strikes on Al-Qaeda intensify

New York, Aug. 15: The US has intensified the CIA’s drone missile campaign in Pakistan and elsewhere against Al-Qaeda as part of its shadow war against the outfit and its allies, a media report said on Sunday.

The US is pursuing Qaeda militants with robotic drones and commando teams, paying contractors to spy and training local operatives to chase terrorists, the New York Times said on Sunday.

The White House has intensified the Central Intelligence Agency’s drone missile campaign in Pakistan, approved raids against Qaeda operatives in Somalia, it said.
