Strong 6.0 quake rumbles off northwest US coast
A strong 6.0-magnitude earthquake rumbled off the coast of the northwestern US state of Oregon on Tuesday, according to the US Geological Survey, with no immediate reports of casualties or damage.
The epicenter of the quake was around 155 miles (250 kilometers) off the Oregon coast and around 270 miles (440 kilometers) from the city of Portland.
The West Coast and Alaska Tsunami Warning Center said it did not expect the quake to generate a tsunami.
