Three injured in Pak explosion
Pro-Taliban militants targeted a police van with a roadside bomb in this northwestern Pakistani city on Sunday, injuring three security personnel, officials said.
The van was on a routine patrol in Urmar, a suburb of Peshawar, when a remote-controlled bomb planted by the roadside went off, they said.
Two constables and the driver of the vehicle were injured, the officials said.
The Police and other law enforcement personnel cordoned off the site of the blast and launched a search for the attackers.
Doctors at the state-run Lady Reading Hospital said the injured were out of danger.
