Two Americans arrested for driving with dead friend's corpse, using his ATM card
Two Americans from the city of Colorado have reportedly been arrested after they were caught driving with their dead friend’s corpse in the car’s backseat, and using his ATM card to finance a night drinking binge.
Robert Jeffrey Young, 43, and Mark Rubinson, 25, in late August took the body of their dead roommate, Jeffrey Jarrett, and placed him in a car.
They then took him to a bar and drove him around Denver before using his ATM card at local strip club, the Daily News reports.
After spending nearly 400 dollars from the cash machine at the pole-dancing club, the pair headed back to Jarrett's home and lugged his body inside.
Later they reported the police officials that their pal was probably dead. Cops later found Jarrett's body at his home, the paper said.
Meanwhile, Police Department spokesman Sonny Jackson has described the crime as ‘bizarre and unfortunate’.
Both Young and Rubinson, who were later freed on bond, will face charges of abusing a corpse.
