Two men were thrown out of US Presidential contender Rick Santorum’s rally after they kissed each other.

Santorum, who opposes gay marriage, was giving a speech in Illinois, where Timothy Tross and Ben Clifford shouted to get the attention of the crowd before exchanging a kiss.

Both Tross of Lombard and Clifford of Algonquin, declined to elaborate on the kiss.

“I don’t think the message should be about what my sexuality is. It’s the message that he’s saying about sexuality that matters,” The Daily Mail quoted Tross, as saying.

According to a Palatine Patch report, Santorum’s lllinois campaign organizers said around 2,100, mainly strong supporters, attended the rally on Friday.

The Republican’s speech focused largely on the importance of the 2012 election and criticized President Barack Obama’s commitment to entitlement programs.
