For UK women, 31 is the new sexy
Women are most beautiful and alluring at 31 years, according to British researchers.
A survey of more than 2,000 men and women in the UK for TV shopping channel QVC revealed that women reach the peak of perfection and allure at age 31. Almost two-t
hirds of women in the survey revealed that they believe the adage “with age comes beauty”. Over half of the women said they felt less insecure and more attractive as they grew older.
The three ingredients, according to the survey, linked most to attractiveness and beauty in women are confidence (70 per cent), good looks (67 per cent) and being stylish (47 per cent).
Mature women are more attractive than teenage girls, the survey emphasised and 63 per cent of the women respondents agreed with this conclusion. Two-thirds of women revealed that they cared less about what others thought of their appearance as they grew older.
“This research shows what many have always suspected — real beauty is about more than just good looks, it is a combination of confidence, style and personality too,” according to QVC marketing director Sue Leeson.
British women were most confident about their appearance in London, with 37 per cent describing themselves as beautiful as opposed to only 28 per cent of women in Wales. Women in the East Midlands spend the most on beauty regimes, £129.69 a month, compared to the national average of £105.50.
