US drone strike kills 4 militants in Pakistan

Four suspected militants were killed on Saturday when US drones targeted a vehicle in the restive North Waziristan tribal region of northwest Pakistan, bordering Afghanistan.

The drones fired three missiles at the vehicle in Datta Khel area of North Waziristan Agency, which has witnessed several missile strikes this month. The four suspected militants were killed instantly in the attack that occurred at 2.30 pm.

The attack created panic in the area. The volatile Waziristan region has seen more than 15 US drone attacks this month — the highest for any single month since the strikes were launched six years ago.
