US suspends all high-level Pak talks

The US is getting tougher with Pakistan to ensure the release of its diplomat Raymond Davis, being tried in Lahore for murder, with Washington suspending all high-level dialogue with Islamabad over the case.

A senior government official told this newspaper the US has warned Pakistan of “grave consequences” if Davis was not released. The case threatens to scuttle a planned US-Afghanistan-Pakistan summit scheduled for February end in Washington.
