US Widow breaks record after eating 183 chicken wings in 12mins

A woman in the US dubbed as the Black Widow, because she beats male competitors in eating contests, has broken her own world record after she ate 183 chicken wings in 12 minutes.

Sonya Thomas, who had set the record last year in Buffalo, New York, took first place at the 10th annual National Buffalo Wings Festival held on September 4, News.com.au reported.

She beat eating marvel Joey ‘Jaws’ Chestnut, who came in second with 174 wings.

The winner gets 1,500 dollars, while the runner-up wins 750 dollars, and third place gets 300 dollars.
