Useless teacher banned for life
Nisar Ahmed, head of business studies at the John O’Gaunt Community Technology College in Hungerford, Berkshire, from September 2007 to January 2009, has been banned from teaching for life as The General Teaching Council for England found him to be the most useless teacher
in the country. He is the first person ever to receive such a ban.
The council felt they were forced to take such a drastic step because even after being in the profession for 13 years his management of lessons were below standard and his organisation of classes were described as
consistently poor.
After hearing the ruling, it was reported that a clearly very upsetAhmed said, “They have made a scapegoat out of me. I’m deeply unhappy about it and don’t deserve to be the first to be struck off for life.” He plans to appeal to the GTC.
