Wife says no to baby after Argie loss
A couple in southwest China’s Chongqing municipality are at loggerheads after the wife refused to have a baby because Argentina lost to Germany in the World Cup.
According to English.news.cn, the long time Argentina fan made a deal with her husband, a Germany fan, that she would get pregnant this year if Argentina won the match, as a gift to her beloved team.
But if Argentina lost, she would delay plans for a baby by one year for every goal Germany scored.
They even signed a contract with these terms set out in detail, the China News Service reported on Monday.
Argentina’s 4-0 loss, however, resulted in a huge fight, and the woman went back to her family’s home after her mother-in-law heard about the matter and insisted her son get a divorce if she refused to have a baby.

Body scanners not to be used at Dubai airports
Dubai, July 6: Dubai will not be using full-body scanners in either of its two airports to protect passengers’ privacy, a top police official of the Dubai airport said, according to local press reports on Tuesday.
Full-body scanners will not be used in Dubai airports as they “contradict Islam, and out of respect for the privacy of individuals and their personal freedom,” Al-Bayan daily quoted Brigadier Pilot Ahmad Mohammed Bin Thani, head of Dubai police’s general department of airport security, as saying on Monday.
“The scanners will be replaced with other inspection systems that reserve travellers’ privacy,” it cited him as saying. —AFP
