WikiLeaks posts Iraq war agony
London, Oct. 23: The WikiLeaks founder and editor-in-chief, Mr Julian Assange, said on Saturday morning that his organisation had posted about 400,000 leaked classified US military reports on its website to reveal the truth behind the Iraq war.
WikiLeaks was aiming to create the “maximum political impact possible,” he said, adding: “This disclosure is about the truth.”
“We hope to correct some of that attack on the truth that occurred before the war, during the war, and which has continued on since the war officially concluded,” he said, adding: “While I am not sure we have achieved the maximum possible (political impact) I think we are getting pretty close.”
