Wills-Kat fulfill dying Canadian man’s last wish
Prince William and his wife Catharine have fulfilled a terminally-ill man’s last wish during their tour of Canada.
When cancer patient Terry Joyce, 47, from Ottawa was told six weeks ago that he had just 12 weeks to live, he decided he wanted to meet the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
Joyce told Sky News that it was wonderful to meet them both.
His memorable meeting took place in the gardens of Rideau Hall in Ottawa, the Governor General’s residence.
William was the first to approach wheelchair-bound Joyce, who stood up with assistance to shake William's hand.
“Please sit down again, it's a hot day,” the Duke of Cambridge insisted, not wanting to cause Joyce any discomfort.
When Kate arrived, she leaned forward and shook his hand.
“Very nice to meet you”, she told him.
