Woman castrates husband on suspicion of infidelity in China
A Chinese woman was sentenced for eleven years in jail for castrating her husband following suspicion that he was having an extra-marital affair.
The woman pleaded guilty to intentional injury at a court in Zhuzhou City in the Hunan Province stating that she chose to do so after having a suspicion that her husband may be having an affair.
She reportedly sedated him with sleeping pills and later tied him to the bed before resorting to the violent act, Shanghai Daily reported.
Such was her anger that she did not show any mercy to him even after husband woke up and pleaded with her to spare him promising to not to stray again.
She later called her brother in-law to ‘stitch the wound’ before surrendering to the police.
The court said it had shown leniency and awarded a lighter sentence to her at the request of the woman's husband and daughter.
