Won’t accept pressure from America: Pak
Pakistan on Thursday said it would not accept any “dictation” from the United States regarding operations against the Haqqani network in the tribal North Waziristan Agency.
“Pakistan cannot be pressurised (sic) to do more,” Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani told an all-parties conference he had called to discuss the tense relations with the United States.
“Our doors are open for dialogue,” Mr Gilani said.
He rejected all United States allegations and said, “We should not be asked to do more,” adding, “The nation is capable of warding off any challenge. We are looking forward to international cooperation.”
