World's highest hotel opens over 100 floors up
The world's highest hotel was open for business in Hong Kong on Wednesday with views over the city's iconic Victoria Harbor from a height of almost half a kilometre.
The Ritz-Carlton, which occupies the top floors 102 to 118 of Hong Kong's International Commerce Center, had its official opening Tuesday and would begin taking regular bookings on Friday.
The hotel has 312 guest rooms, a bar and restaurant called Ozone on its 118th floor, which is 490 metres above ground level. A standard room costs about $575 a night.
