Cyberspace goes gaga over Tuskers
Kochi Tuskers Kerala (KTK) has succeeded in building a strong fan base in cyberspace after its convincing win over Mumbai Indians (MI).
The giant-killers of IPL-4 are rocking the virtual world with a whopping 24,000 fans on Facebook.
A Sunday team post on the site said: “We are just 2000 fans away to defeat Delhi Daredevils on Facebook!! Woohoooo!! That takes us ahead of Pune Warriors, Kings XI Punjab & Delhi Daredevils!! So lets set our sights on our next target — Deccan Chargers!! That would be a huge leap for us, but IMPOSSIBLE IS NOTHING!!”
After the team's triumph over Sachin’s side KTK fans are screaming ‘Bleed Orange’ in cyberspace.
Interestingly, KTK had been dubbed a bowling academy since it “lacks in batting”.
In February, it’d a fan base of only 2,000. However, after its management wisely asked fans to vote for a name for the team, making KTK a democratic pick, following gathered momentum.
Last week alone, it added 7,000 fans.
