‘Eclipse’d and how!

The third installment in the Twilight saga is set to hit the Indian screens on Friday and fans couldn’t be more kicked about seeing hotties Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner in action. The third part of the Twilight series sees a number of mysterious killings engulfing Seattle. Also, Bella is torn between her friendship with werewolf Jacob Black and her true love for Edward Cullen.
Says 18-year-old Nishkala Jayasimha, a Twilight fan, “I’m looking forward to the war in the end. That’s got a lot of action and should be pretty good. The third book also talks about Jacob’s friendship with Bella and how Bella is torn between love and friendship. She has to choose between Jacob and Edward who are enemies. My cousin in the US has already seen the movie and she told me that Eclipse is better than the first two parts.” Nishkala can’t choose between team Jacob and team Edward as she likes both equally! “Edward is like God! He’s perfectly moral and even though he really loves Bella, he’s willing to let her go if she’s better off without him. He thinks about the pros and cons of being with her which a normal person would never do as we are usually selfish and want to be with the one we love. Jacob, on the other hand is such a warm person. He’s an amazing friend and has been there for Bella when Edward wasn’t there. He’s an ideal friend,” she says.
Bengalurean Pooja R, a student of BMS College of Engineering too is excited about Eclipse hitting the silver screen. “I’ve already read the book and know how the movie ends. I’m eager to see how the book is visually represented. Eclipse will be a complete package with a lot of entertainment and action. Amongst all the four books, this one has the maximum action,” says Pooja, who thinks it will be interesting for people to see if Bella chooses Jacob or Edward. “I’m planning to catch the movie when all my friends are free,” she adds.
While she thinks Eclipse is not as interesting as the other books in the whole saga, Nivedita K. Mohan, an 18-year-old engineering student, is looking forward to the fight where the vampire and werewolves get together.
“In the second book, they were against each other, but now they get together,” says Nivedita, who likes Edward more than Jacob. “He’s mesmerising and stays by Bella’s side always,” she says.
For Pranjali S Pai, a student of Oxford Engineering College, Eclipse has been ruined to an extent by an overdose of Bella and Edward’s love story. “They should have focused more on the vampires. I was also disappointed by the casting of Rosalie and Edward in the movie. But I’m looking forward to the last part where the wolves and vampires fight Victoria’s army of new-born vampires,” she says.
Looks like a whole bunch of Twilight fans are going to be totally ‘eclipse’d by the movie this week!

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.
