The crazy tales of new-age families

The reason for the rains is that the angels have been weeping for joy — they just discovered Modern Family! I am in love with the show and I would highly recommend it to all. However, considering I have been advocating numerous shows I decided to take a survey on Facebook. When I asked my friends what they thought about Modern

Family in one word, I got ‘humour’, ‘hilarious’, and ‘Gloria’ and a tangent discussion about ‘Cam and Mitchell’ (my personal favourite!). This show was highly recommended and I presumed the this would ruin it for me; however, that presumption was thankfully wrong. Phil Dunphy’s insatiable need to impress people was another topic of discussion on Facebook and I bet people who’ve seen the show are totally embarrassed for his kids on the show because I know I would be if my dad decided to call my friends ‘dude’. Manny’s precocious attitude is hilarious although I feel bad for Jay - imagine if your kid drinks only espresso shots all day and doesn’t consider himself a child, according to Manny, he’s surrounded by kids all day (He is eleven!).
The episode aptly titled The Incident was one of my favourite episodes that aired last week where Claire and Mitchell’s mum shows up. I’d ditch the mum but only because the lady who plays the mum really annoys me although the character she plays, I dig. Most mothers, I presume, give their sons-in-law sweaters for Christmas but Cam’s mother-in-law gets him an elliptical trainer. The incident during Jay and Gloria’s wedding, Manny’s revenge and Hayley and Claire’s relationship in that episode are what made the episode a memorable one, however the song Moonlight stole the show.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
