2 held for killing homoeo doctor
The Kochi police on Wednesday arrested two Jharkhand residents on the charge of killing a homoeo doctor from Thoppumpady two-and-a-half years ago.
The arrested were identified as Santhosh Mahatho and Bahadur Mahatho. The duo was presented before the chief judicial magistrate and remanded in police custody for further probe.
K.J.Antony went missing in 2009, after he left for a conference at Jharkhand. According to the police, the doctor was picked up by Santhosh and Bahadur from Ranchi railway station and killed in a forest nearby.
The duo was tracked when one of them started using the mobile phone which belonged to the doctor, with another SIM card.
Though the police arrested the two, they are yet to prove the motive for the murder.
