Bus owners seek Rs 7 in minimum fare

Private bus owners on Monday demanded a hike in minimum ticket fare to Rs 7 from Rs 5, a cut in the student concession rate and the abolition of “age limit” of buses to cope with the diesel price increase.

They threatened to go on strike from September 24 midnight if their demands were not met by the government.
