Ernakulam shines in SSLC

A record 96 per cent students passed the SSLC examination in the district with 110 schools registering cent per cent pass.

“A total of 671 candidates secured A+ grade – 156 in Ernakulam zone, 302 in Aluva, 126 in Muvattupuzha and 87 in Kothamangalam.

Maxi-mum number of schools recording cent per cent pass in the district are from Aluva (42) followed by Ernakulam (26), Muvattupuzha (24) and Kothamangalam (18),” deputy director of education M.D. Murali said.

The Kothamangalam zone secured the highest pass percentage of 98.12, followed by Aluva (97.75), Muvattupuzha (97.71) and Ernakulam (93.32).

Government schools too fared better this time around with a total of 34 of them achieving 100 per cent pass.
