GCDA to organise two-day seminAr on Vision 2030
Experts from various fields will attend the two-day seminar to be organised by Greater Cochin Development Authority (GCDA) on Vision 2030 programme here on August 16 and 17.
The seminar will formulate the draft plan of Vision 2030, which is expected to lay the foundation for mega development projects that will redefine the city’s landscape.
“The draft plan will be chalked out on the basis of papers presented and suggestions from participants of the seminar. More than 250 participants including engineers, architects and town planners, representatives of NGOs, development committees, political parties and media will attend the seminar,” said N. Venugopal, chairman, GCDA.
Mr Venugopal told mediapersons here that the seminar was being organised to change the general mindset to development projects and also amend the way they were executed.
Speaker G Karthikeyan will inaugurate the seminar on August 16 while the concluding session will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Oommen Chandy.
