‘Haridath’s suicide note was fake’

After raising serious allegations against the Joint Director of CBI, the two transferred CBI cops, S Unnikrishnan and K.K. Rajan, have come up with a new set of allegations, one of which being that the suicide note of former chief investigating officer in the Sampath Custodial Death case, PG Haridath, was fake.
The suicide note, which resulted in the transfer of the two top cops, was a forged one, the two who have been transferred to Kolkata and Guwahati respectively submitted before the Kochi bench of the Central Administrative Tribunal.
According to S Unnikrishnan and KK Rajan, whose names were mentioned in the suicide note, PG Haridath always put the date just below his signature. But, in the suicide note, the date is seen on a side of his signature, thereby establishing manipulation. The applicants have every reason to believe that the date seen in the suicide note had been inserted by somebody.
To establish their claim, the CBI cops submitted copies of some official documents signed by Haridath. Three instances of Haridath putting date below the signature were also submitted before the court.
There was no interaction between them and Haridath for the three months prior to his suicide.
The suicide letter recovered near the body of Haridath comprised the names of his colleagues Rajan and Unnikrishnan, circle inspectors with the CBI TVM office, advocate S Sreekumar, former CBI counsel, and former Ernakulam CJM P Vijayan.
In the suicide note, Haridath said the four had forced him to take the final step and nobody else was responsible.
