ISRO case: Nambi Naryanan to move HC against 3 police officers
Former Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) scientist S. Nambi Narayanan has decided to move Kerala High Court seeking initiation of criminal case on various on various counts, including sedition against the three police officers the then Deputy Inspector-General, Siby Mathews, who is currently the Chief Information Commissioner; the then Circle Inspector S. Vijayan; and the then Superintendent of Police, K.K. Joshua.
Nambi Narayanan has contacted High Court practicing Advocate C Unnikrishnan and the petition will be filed this week. According to Nambi Naryanan who was falsely charged and arrested in connection with the sensational ISRO espionage case the officers colluded with the help of foreign agencies to thwart the ISRO’s dreams of a Cryogenic Engine.
“These three cops had played a major role in the case and Mr Narayanan want them to go through the same ordeal he went", advocate C. Unnikrishnan who is busy preparing the petition told Deccan Chronicle.
Advocate Unnikrishnan added that the criminal conspiracy against the trio should be found out by registering a fresh probe. He alleged that the scientist is suspecting the hand of foreign countries such as United States of America and France in the ISRO espionage case.
He also added quoting Mr Naraynanan that the attempt of those who colluded was to demoralize every scientist in the ISRO. He also alleged that the truth behind the ISRO case will come out if action was taken against the police trio named by the CBI in its final report.
Nambi Narayanan, who introduced liquid fuel rocket technology in India was recently awarded a compensation of Rs 10 lakh by Kerala High Court.
