Karim asks home minister to resign
CPM leader Elamaram Karim has demanded the resignation of home minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan, alleging that the minister had misguided the state assembly.
Karim’s reference was to the minister’s answer to a question in the assembly in which he denied he had given his nod to the police to tap the phone of CPM leaders and legislators.
“The home minister has given wrong information in the assembly. We demand that the government reveal the truth,” Karim told the media.
“We are a democratic organisation. The government should not treat us as a terrorist organisation,” he said, adding that the CPM would seek legal measures against the phone tapping.
