M.I.A in Kochi for biennale

Renowned ra-pper, songwriter and painter M.I.A is in Kochi once again, ahead of the 12.12.12. Kochi-Muziris Biennale. The young Londoner of Sri Lankan origin is to perform at the Biennale. She was here a few months ago when Biennale was under flak. She met some of the leading artistes in the state, including percussionist Peruvanam Marar, who recounts the interest she showed in chenda.
