Mohanlal to open Diabetes Kerala ’12

The International Diabetes federation and Jyothydev’s Diabetic Research centre would observe this month as the ‘World Diabetic Month’ and various programmes would be held across the state as part of it.

An awareness campaign on the lifestyle disease titled ‘Diabetes Kerala-2012’ would be inaugurated by veteran actor Mohanlal at Rama Varma Hall, Kochi, on Monday.

Under the initiative, the campaign would be conducted from November 12 to 25 and the priority would be given to schools and colleges.

A road show would also be conducted from Thiruvananthapuram to Kasargod on the importance of diabetes prevention and treatments.
