Oman Airways pulling out of ground-handling deal with Air India
Oman Airways is reportedly pulling out of the deal with Air India to provide ground handling services at the Cochin International Airport, giving a major blow to the national carrier.
The move comes, following a disagreement over charges by the parties involved, according to sources.
Ground-handling is a major revenue source for the beleaguered carrier which is currently battling a token strike by a section of pilots.
“Yes…but no official communication has reached us so far. There’s some disagreement over rates,” an Air India official said.
