Political killings: Mani to be in first list of accused

The SIT probing the political murders in Idukki following the murder claim of former CPM Idukki district secretary, M.M. Mani, has decided to include him in the first list of accused in the Anchery Baby murder case. He is likely to be arrested after that.

Another leader to be on the list is O.G. Madanan. The decision was taken at a top-level meeting convened by the Ernakulam Range IG K. Padmakumar here on Thursday.

The team is learnt to have also decided to file the list before the Thodupuzha judicial magistrate court next week.

The decision to list Mani as an accused was taken on the basis of the investigation carried out by the team, Padmakumar said. On other accused, the decision would come later, he said.
