RMP leaders to bar CPM MLAs
The Revolutionary Marxist Party leaders on Monday said that they would neither allow CPM MLAs to come to Onchiyam nor pay a visit to the house of T.P. Chandrasekharan.
LDF MLAs are planning to go to Onchiyam on Tuesday to have a firsthand view of the situation after the assassination of Chandrasekharan, on Friday night.
Reacting to reports about the LDF MLAs’ plans, RMP leaders said they would not allow the MLAs anywhere near the house.
“The people of the region will not forgive us if we allow MLAs belonging to the party which was instrumental in killing Chandrasekharan, to visit his house and move about in Onchiyam”, they said.
The RMP leaders also asked the state government to probe the alleged role of the CPM leadership in the assassination.
The state leadership of the party headed by Pinarayi Vijayan eliminated Chandrasekharan to destroy a communist alternative that was emerging from Onchiyam, the leaders said in a statement.
The RMP leaders said that CPM politburo member Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, Kannur district secretary P.Jayarajan and some leaders from Kozhikode are part of the conspiracy.
The conspiracy was hatched at several places including the venue of a wedding. The venue was actually the house of a known criminal who is close to the CPM, they alleged.
The leaders also wanted to know why CPM MLAs Elamaram Kareem and E.K. Vijayan had gone to see home minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan on Monday while the probe was progressing.
