Siddique loses out in fancy number game

The lure of fancy numbers among actors is nothing new and they are often ready to pay hefty sums as fee for getting such numbers. But ace actor Siddique on Monday lost a battle for the number KL.07 BV 777 to another Kochiite.

Siddique in the midst of his busy schedule found time to personally appear before Ernakulam Regional Transport Officer T.J.Thomas and participate in the nail-biting auction.

Nazim Azeez of Thrikkakara shattered the dreams of Siddique by raising the auction amount to Rs2 lakh.

The office witnessed some exciting scenes and officials were thrilled to see the actor. The duo had paid Rs50,000 as fee for the number and to break the tie, the RTO decided to conduct an auction.

Recently, actors Balachandra Menon ,Jayasurya and director Antony Perumbavoor had been in the news for this fancy number competition. Menon got KL B G 5544, Jayasurya KL 07 BT 9791 and Antony Perumbavoor KL 07 BT 9999.
