Virtual world seeks second term for Abdul Kalam

As Agni5 flawlessly soared into the sky, missile man of India Mr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam became the front runner for a second term as India’s first person.

Social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter are abuzz with posts seeking a second term for the 80 year Kalam.

Recent media reports that the Samajwadi Party, Trinamool Congress and Jayalalitha led AIADMK may join hands for the Presidential polls and Kalam could emerge as a consensus candidate was the reason for the tweeteratis and FBians to launch their support.

Ashok tweeted Sir @official_kalam, “You may not be interested in President's post, but we need you as our President. We need your leadership.”

Shishir Gupta: "With Mulayam keen to put up the name of Kalam for President and NCP wanting Sangma, Congress is in tight corner as both not liked by 10 Janpath."

National Volleyball player and IT official Chinu expressed his dissatisfaction “Irony of India, so called communal party of India BJP wants Muslim president Abdul Kalam and secular congress doesn't.”

Jainendra Nahata tweeted, “Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam for President. Bring honour back.” And Mohan Raj tweeted, “Great man, students’ role model, our old President of India Dr A.P.J Abdul Kalam sir.”

A scrutiny of the tweets shows that clean image of India’s most loved and respected president will be handy in the selection of the next presidential candidate.

Some of other candidates whose names are doing the rounds in social sphere are tech evangelist Sam Pitroda, vice president Hamid Ansari and Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar.
