Adhir ready to talk with chief minister
Minister of state for railways and senior Congress MP Adhir Chowdhury is ready to meet chief minister Mamata Banerjee for the sake of development of the state as well as for the pending railway projects. Mr Chowdhury informed this to the media persons at Berhampore on Sunday.
Despite being a Mamata-baiter, Mr Chowdhury claimed that he does not believe in politics of untouchability. He, however, added: “I belong to the Opposition in Bengal. So I can criticise the state government. It is upto the state government to take all criticism and suggestions in a positive manner for the sake of development.”
He further claimed that already several railway officers had met many state ministers and officials for clearing the hurdles in the railway projects and he can meet the chief minister 100 times for the same reason if she gives him an appointment or invitation.
However, at the same time, Mr Chowdhury again strongly criticised the state government’s industrial policy. “Instead of urging the industrialists to invest in the state, the chief minister should first clear her government’s land policy. First you should well-decorate your garden, honeybees will automatically arrive in various groups,” he said.
