CU exam delayed due to goof-up
After the question paper goof-up during the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE), another such incident occurred at Dum Dum Motijheel College during the ongoing undergraduate B.A, B.Sc., B.Com Part 3 examination under the Calcutta University on Wednesday.
The students appearing for the social science subjects had to wait for their questions papers for half an hour after the college authorities reportedly opened the packet of the question papers of defence studies paper. However, the college authorities refused to divulge anything on the matter. But according to the sources, the examination was delayed for more than half an hour.
Pro-vice chancellor of Calcutta University, Mr Dhrubajyoti Chattop-adhyay, said, “We came to know about the matter in the afternoon. However, there was no major delay due to the matter. We have asked for a report from the college authorities. We need to know how come despite the names of the subject being printed on the packets, the mistake took place. There can be a possibility of misprint for which this may have happened.”
