No case for mercy
The Supreme Court has set a precedent in rejecting Khalistani terrorist Devinderpal Singh Bhullar’s plea for commutation of his death sentence. What is significant about this judgment is the apex court’s observation that a death sentence cannot be commuted in the case of a terrorist. The court was right in pointing out the irony in the fact that a person who showed no mercy was now seeking it.
