A ‘clean’ solution to your wishes

If men are busy aping Ranbir Kapoor’s stubble or Hrithik’s beard, then they are not even close to what women want. Or so says a pan-India survey. Women, across metros, including a stupendous 75 per cent from Mumbai alone, have polled that they like their men clean-shaven, because that way they find them more sensitive and endearing.
Bearded men tend to come across as aloof in nature, feels makeup artist Clint Fernandes. “They seem more self-absorbed and arrogant. Most women, since they go for the caring type, find the clean-shaven guy more approachable. Even in job interviews, this is the guy who will score over the other, in terms of appearance, because it indicates levels of responsibility in a person,” he adds.
If stereotypes were to rule, then a clean-shaven man seems to have all the qualities to endear himself to the opposite sex. “Besides an easy going nature, he also seems hygienic unlike those who look like they could go on for days without a bath,” says Ira Singh, a teacher.
