‘My life’s in a mess, leave me alone’

Q How did you meet for the first time and for how long have you been together?
Shraddha: We met three years ago, at a dance performance of mine. Raja claims he fell in love me then. We’ve been together for almost two years now.

Q Why did you decide to enter reality show Love Lock-Up, after two years of being committed?
Raja: Like every couple, we’ve faced problems in our relationship. To enter LLU was Shraddha’s decision, apparently because she has issues with certain habits I have. And because I love her and want to be with her, I agreed.
S: I want a better life ahead for both of us, which was why I made this decision.

Q What are the reasons you have for wanting this relationship to work?
R: Love is the most essential thing between a man and a woman. Nobody is perfect and mistakes happen, but you can pull through tough times with the support and love of your partner. We love each other and that’s why we want to give “us” a chance.
Q Is marriage on the cards?
R: Yes, I am looking forward to a future with Shraddha as my wife.
S: Of course, why would I want this relationship to work unless I was serious about it? But I will marry Raja only if he promises to mend his ways.

Q Raja, your ex-wife Shweta Tiwari recently won Big Boss 4. Any comments?
R: What can I say except that it’s her good fortune?

Q Raja, of late, there have been some controversies involving you — allegedly, you beat up Shweta’s boyfriend and misbehaved with a friend’s girlfriend…
R: My life is in a mess now and all I want is for the media to leave me alone. No one has ever tried to find out my side of the story. I just want to focus on resolving my issues with Shraddha. I’m sure you’ll understand that I don’t want to drag my past into my present. I have already lost enough.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
