In 852 page book that weighs 37 kg features all the historic moments of Formula One since its inception. It features many interviews and momentous pictures. 100 copies of the book, titled Champion’s Edition, include a signature page that has been signed by all the living champion drivers of F1. However, to get a copy of the Champion’s Edition, you will have to shell out £20,000, while the special edition is for £2,000.
Karl Fowler, CEO and founder, Opus Media Group, said that they chose India for the global release of the book because of the popularity that F1 has got in India in recent years. “We couldn’t have asked for a better platform than the Indian Grand Prix,” he said.
Actor Anil Kapoor, who was present at the launch, confessed to being a big fan of F1. However, he was disappointed that F1 CEO, Bernie Ecclestone couldn’t make it to the launch. He quipped, “I’m a big fan of F1, Opus and Bernie. Now even if Bernie is not here, we’ll have to release the book.” He said he was happy to see the extensive research and detailing that has gone into even the smallest elements of the Official Formula1 Opus.
