Akki, PC to act together?

Akshay Kumar and Priyanka Chopra make a great on-screen pair. After joint hits like Aitraaz and Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, they were the preferred choice for most filmmakers in Bollywood. And the duo would have had more blockbusters to its credit had it not been for Akki’s better half, Twinkle who intervened and made her discomfort about the pairing rather clear. It was apparently, after that, that the duo decided to part ways — on the big screen at least.

But seems like the hit jodi is ready to let bygones be bygones. They intend to start working afresh with Himesh Reshammiya’s next film, where Akki plays the male lead. “The deal hasn’t been cracked yet, but Himesh is optimistic about getting the ideal pair back on screen,” says a source close to Himesh.
Right now, Priyanka is hot property and it makes sense to capitalise on her success. Her chemistry with Shah Rukh Khan too has been making headlines, but it was her pairing with Akshay that got Priyanka lucky.
We have all the confidence in Himesh’s choice of actors, but we wonder how Twinkle will react to this news.
