Battle of superheroes
With the release of The Amazing Spider-Man, we find out who does more justice to their friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man — Andrew Garfield or Tobey Maguire. Also, pitted in a popularity contest are the Hulk actors Edward Norton, Eric Bana and Mark Ruffalo and of course, Batmen George Clooney, Val Kilmer and Christian Bale.
Most incredible hulk: Norton was the dark, brooding scientist on the run. Bana was the shy, unwilling Hulk in love. But Mark Ruffalo nails it as the green superhero in The Avengers. He steals the show in an ensemble cast of superheroes.
Amazing spidey: Though Tobey has been Spidey for three movies, Andrew is a refreshing change in the reboot. It’s an improvement from Maguire’s whiney voice and pathetic love life, as Andrew kicks ass and gets the girl, too.
Baddest bat: Clooney as Bruce Wayne unfortunately had to share screen space with Robin and Batgirl, while Val did reinvent the Bat as a fighting fit vigilante. But it’s Bale who’s got the world worshipping the caped crusader.
