Biker buddies raise a toast to riding thrills
Looks like city riders can’t get enough of bikes and beers. Recently when Café Morrison organsied its annual Biker’s Night, capital’s biking enthusiasts turned up and showed their support to the biking brotherhood. The event witnessed a number of activities and bikers from across the country gathered to enjoy this occasion.
The night featured avid motorcyclists like Bhavishya Devgun, Jay Kannaiyan and other bikers, who shared their biking anecdotes with fellow bikers.
Bhavishya Devgun, publisher and a biking enthusiast, mentions, “In 2009 I got my first Bullet, and then the craze for riding long routes started. First year I did a trip to Ladakh, and then I went on an all India tour and tried to cover the extreme places. I am part of biking groups in the city and we keep organising many events across the country.”
An amalgamation of rock music, thunder bikes and chilled beer took over the night as bike aficionados reunited. Praveen Kumar, a photographer and co-organisier of the event, says, “The idea to start a biking night for riders initiated six years ago in the capital. This year we saw a gathering of 180-200 bikers from different parts of the city. Biking is emerging as a cult in our country and there are various groups that support such activities from time to time.”
