Hollywood beauties are going desi with their fascination for Indian fashion and accessories. The rise of bindi as an accessory has come into focus due to the growing popularity of Bollywood and Yoga in the West.

A top-notch fashion designer and stylist in B’town tells us how a Hollywood hottie wanted special bindis made from India, “I was quite amused and surprised by the request as she wanted the bindis that are locally available in buses and trains. The idea of bindi goes beyond being just an accessory. It could act as a replacement for your hair pins, eye make-up and even a tiara for that matter. It’s a rage there and I keep getting calls to team up lehengas and saris with bindis.” So don’t ingore that little bindi on the corner of your bathroom mirror because it has many takers.
