CELEBS GO IN FOR MERCS
Despite the stiff competition from some of the world’s best auto brands, Mercedes-Benz manages to make it a memorable November.
Amidst rumours of Mercedes losing its market share, thanks to the influx of swank models from BMW and Audi, the company shared its sales figures for the month of
November. Speaking of their ‘good’ sales performance, Dr Wilfried Aulbur, Managing Director and CEO of Mercedes-Benz India, says, “Mercedes-Benz clocked its best-ever November in its history with a total wholesale of 518 units. Our strategy for the Indian market has been focused on offering a comprehensive product range, delivering the highest value to our customer, ensuring world class after sales service and vehicle ownership experience.” He also shares, “This is largely to do with our initiative to launch our network and dealerships in smaller towns across India.”
The sales of Mercedes cars have grown by 86 per cent in Jan- Nov 2010 as compared to the same period in 2009. The key growth drivers have been the E-Class 251 units sold in November 2010, followed by the C-Class, which sold 156 units, and the S-Class which sold 39 units.
