Climatic woes on the 70mm
A two-day environmental film festival, Quotes From The Earth, which will highlight stark environmental challenges and ecological conflicts of our times, is being organised at the India International Centre.
The festival will witness screening of 25 films, with a separate section on international films from various countries including the United States of America, France, Australia and Germany. Films by renowned environmental filmmakers like Bedi Brothers, Mike Pandey, Krishnendu Bose, Rita Banerji, Christopher Walker and David Fedele among others will be shown at the festival, organised by Toxics Link, an environmental NGO.
The film festival, which is organised every alternate year, was first time held in 2004, and is in its 5th edition now. Ravi Agarwal, director, Toxics Link and curator of the festival says, “The films, this year, throw light on four categories of environmental concerns —earth, water, wildlife and sustainability. All the 26 films have been made in the last two years and hence focus on the most current environmental issues.”
The festival starts from December 6.
