Colours define your life

Colours play a great role in our lives; each and every colour has its own universal meaning and implications. It is suggested that one should wear their lucky colours always. And if that is not possible then at least on important days — for meetings or while taking important decisions of life.

If you can’t wear them, try carrying your lucky colour in your pocket or handbag, like a handkerchief or a scarf. Also try to use the lucky colours in your surroundings — on the walls of your room, office space or upholstery. It keeps you positive. Here is a description of how the numbers rule:
n Number 1: People born on the 1st, 10th, 19th or 28th of any month. They should wear all shades of brown, yellow and gold and should avoid black and maroon.
n Number 2: Those born on the 2nd, 11th, 20th or 29th of any month. They should wear all shades of green from the darkest to the lightest, and also a lot of cream and white. They should avoid black, purple and dark red.
n Number 3: Those born on the 3rd, 12th, 21st or 30th. They should wear all shades of purple — mauve, violet, and lilac and should avoid dark green and red.
n Number 4: Born on the 4th, 13th, 22nd or 31st, these people should wear electric colours like blues and greys. They should avoid strong and positive colours like black and red.
n Number 5: People born on the 5th, 14th or 23rd of any month. They should wear light shades like light grey, white, off white, beige. They should avoid wearing dark or blocked colours.
n Number 6: Those born on the 6th, 15th or 24th. They should wear all shades of blue, from the lightest to the darkest but should avoid electric glistening blue, and red and crimson colours.
n Number 7: Born on the 7th, 16th or 25th, these people should opt for pale green, white, yellow and gold. The paler the shade, the better for them. They should avoid wearing black and red.
n Number 8: People born on the 8th, 17th or 26th of any month. They should wear all shades of dark grey, dark blue, purple and black and should avoid wearing any light colours.
n Number 9: Those born on the 9th, 18th or 27th. They should wear all shades of red, rose, pink and red purple. The darker and richer the shade, the better for them. They should avoid wearing light colours, specially white.
While the lucky colours help you do well, your favourite colours can shape your personality (see box).

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
