Comedy based on food

After receiving rave reviews for his performance in Don 2, Kunal Kapoor is now looking forward to Anurag Kashyap’s next film Love Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana, to be produced by UTV motion pictures. Sources say that Kunal’s role is something the actor has never done before. The film will be a first of sorts for Anurag as well, who will be making his debut in a comedy that is based on food.
“As a production house, we have always tried to do different kinds of cinema. Because no matter the budget, the audience wants good cinema,” says a source from the production house. “This film will be Anurag’s first full-fledged family entertainer and Amit Trivedi of Dev D and No One Killed Jessica fame will be working on the music score. The last collaboration between Amit and Anurag created a cult of sorts with the music of Dev D, so understandably expectations are bound to soar this time round,” the source adds.
“Some portions of the film have been already shot and the next schedule will be shot in London,” the source further informs. It’s not common for filmmakers to splurge on a so-called small-budget film. But looks like the makers of this one want to make an exception. Only time will tell if it pays off.
