Department gets bright and Sunny

Such has been the power of item numbers in Bollywood that filmmakers reveal their item girl before everything else. And given the superhits the likes of Sheila, Munni and Chikni Chameli have delivered, it’s not hard to figure out why. So Ram Gopal Varma can hardly be faulted when he tried to arrange for Sunny Leone to perform an item song for his upcoming Department. The buzz is that Sunny is in competition with a Brazilian model and the film’s main heroine Madhu Shalini.
“Ever since Sunny made her intentions clear about making it big in Bollywood, many filmmakers are considering her as a serious contender when it comes to a glamorous outing. While the Bhatts have already jumped into the fray, others are also looking to do likewise. Ramu too was said to be contemplating giving her an item number for Department, his most commercial movie in recent times,” says an insider.
Now considering the track record Ramu has had with women and the uber glamorous way in which he’s presented them, we can hardly wait to see what he does with Sunny.
